Hi all,

I am Kylie from Booted Endurance.  I am involved in endurance riding which I do in easycare hoofboots.  My husband is a professional trimmer and we have recently relocated to the north west coast of Tasmania and loving it!

I am an easycare hoof boot fitter and supplier and as much as I love a beautiful bare hoof I really do enjoy using hoofboots as in the sport of endurance I truly feel they offer so much more than just sole protection.

I own three horses, a retired QH who is the sole reason my husband - and I initially started learing about hooves and barefoot trimming over 8 years ago in Queensland, when we could not find anyone to help us when this boy foundered.

My second horse is Jack, a tb x qh pali who I do eundurance with.  A non arab with two breds sterotyped to have horrible feet lol BUT he has gret feet and he loves endurance and he holds his own out there on track!  We call him the golden bullet lol - he thinks he is the fastest thing out there  - I try not to let him know that although he is quick, he has a long way to go :)

Finally we have fanta.  She is a rising 2 yr old pinto part arabian medicine hat filly expected to mature around 16hh (+) and is an absolute character!  She is going to be an absolute blast out on track once she is old enough - I cant wait!

We have two website www.bootedendurance.com and www.bareitallhoofcare.com feel free to look around.

Lovely site Brian and look forward to having a look around!

Hi all, I have now owned Cedar for three weeks, he was shod when I bought him but his hooves are badly cracked and he is in need of attention. I am a firm believer in barefoot trimming and can't wait to start this journey with him. I've heard many remedies to dry, cracked and split hooves, including rubbing vegetable oil into the whole hoof, adding biotin to their food, does any one have any tried and true ways of adding to my boy's pedicure? I'd appreciate some suggestions. Thanks, Karen

I oil my two's feet each day and they get picked out twice a day. Some people say don't put oils on and some say don't supplement. It can be so confusing, can't it?  how are Cedar's feet now?
