About Me

2010 saw the initial launch of GoBarefoot - The Hoof Trim Network. The aim of this business is to provide a quality barefoot trim service to horse owners. At this stage it is based in Melbourne but it is hoped that the business will grow to cover other major centres.

GoBarefoot aims to encourage graduates of the Diploma of Equine Podio Therapy and the Certificate III in Agriculture (Equine Hoof Care) to work professionally as barefoot trimmers. To this end GoBarefoot will offer to provide clients and take over the billing of these clients. It will also provide regular ongoing professional development to trimmers who join the network as subcontractors.

This does not mean that the trimmers cannot have their own clients. ATO laws require that any subcontractor must not do more than 80pc of their work for the one business, otherwise they risk being categorised as employees. So GoBarefoot encourages trimmers wanting to join the network, to maintain their own client base.

If you are a trimmer and want more clients and are a student on or graduate of the above courses, please contact me <rebeccascott@bigpond.com>.

My aim is to spread the availability of quality barefoot trimming. And also to nurture those who have an interest in pursuing the trade as a profession. This can be either part or full time.

Hey Rebecca,
Good luck with your endeavor......on such a large scale it will be challenging for you.
My only suggestion is to screen your applicants very throughly.
My Old Master said to me one bad apple will spoil the whole barrel.....Especially with the humble steed........!
